Redgate is a wonderful country farmhouse nestled in the lanes of the Devon countryside.
This property lent itself to a traditional interior outfit, embracing its natural surroundings. The properties gardens home many species of flowers and trees and it was important to the clients to embrace their natural surroundings and compliment it within their home. A beautiful example of how this was achieved is shown within the dining room. The elegant dark wooden furniture, sitting on a stunning deep wooden floor is lifted by the spring yellow curtains printed with beautiful purple accent flowers.
Each room calmly flows into the next, due to the favoured yellow tones of the walls and various soft furnishings. The yellow is complimented by blues of various tones, especially in the kitchen where we see deep blue on the tiles and lighter blues weaved with yellows in the curtains.
The kitchen moves smoothly into the laundry room, as there dressing the window is a Roman blind, handmade in our Devon workshop from the same fabric that we used in the kitchen. This room features a large Belfast lighter stained wooden cupboards and a softer yellow tone to the walls.
The sitting room is the most traditional room in the house embracing floral prints, frills and gold. This room really creates a sense of comfort and again homes some beautifully dark wooden furniture to balance the room. Here we see warmer tones of pinks and oranges to compliment the overall yellow feel of the room.
